For this customer we installed new tack strip up to new tile. Most people get very nervous about nailing tack strip up to new tile. You have to make sure the gully is the thickness of the carpet. We also run a bead of latex in the gully. This makes the edge tight and seals it. We definitely don’t want to crack one of those new tiles. Using an eZtuck helps which is a Teflon stair tool. Having a knowledgeable technician makes a huge difference.
